Husky Stadium is known for its deafening crowd volume, iconic architecture and view of Mount Rainier. Golden helmets glint in the sun. Fans flock to the games by boat and tailgate on the docks. Some aspects of Husky football are unique, but none of them diminish the glory of multiple Rose Bowl victories, national championships and conference championships.

Providing a complete history starting with the beginning of college football-when players couldn't afford jerseys and sent away to the East Coast for rule books and balls-and ending with Husky stadium's recent renovations and renewed hope for the 2013 season, fans can relive the most exciting games, important moments and legendary players of the Washington Huskies with Go Huskies!: Celebrating the Washington Football Tradition (Triumph Books, September 2013) by Tom Porter with a forward by Don James, former Washington head football coach who won more games (153) than any coach in Husky history.

Go Huskies! recalls the eras of Owens and James, recounts famous games such as the win over Minnesota in 1961 for the team's first national championship title and honors the 1991 team which won a national title with the 1992 Rose Bowl victory over Michigan to end a perfect 12-0 season. Hardcore fans will appreciate detailed stats, lists of Husky players and coaches inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and the Guy Flaherty Award Winners dating back to 1908.

A perfect keepsake for students and alumni, football enthusiasts and fans that bleed purple and gold, Go Huskies! is sure to entertain and inspire as a tribute to the proud tradition of Husky football into the College Football Hall of Fame, All-Conference and All-Americans, the Guy Flaherty Award Winners dating back to 1908, and many other honors bestowed on the greatest players in Washington football history.
