Author Biography

Patrick Garbin is a sportswriter who has been published online and in local newspapers and magazines. He is the author of "Then Vince Said to Herschel..." and About Them Dawgs!. He has previously worked at FanStop.com and CNN Sports Illustrated and CNN Sports. He lives in Snellville, Georgia. Charley Trippi is a former halfback and quarterback for the Chicago Cardinals, now known as the Arizona Cardinals, of the National Football League. He is an inductee of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As a student at the University of Georgia, he was a two-time All-American selection, the Most Valuable Player in the 1943 Rose Bowl, recipient of the Maxwell Award, and played during a national championship season. He lives in Athens, Georgia.
