Tennessee Titans: Celebrating the First Ten Years

Presented by the Tennessean

By Jim Wyatt & Bob McClellan

On January 8, 2000, in a play known as the "Music City Miracle," Kevin Dyson caught a Frank Wycheck pass and completed a 75-year kickoff return for a touchdown, lifting the Titans to an improbabl 22-16 victory in the AFC Wild Card playoff game over the Buffalo Bills.  The unforgettable play gave the franchise its first playoff win since 1993, its first ever in Tennessee, and helped propel them to their first ever Super Bowl.

This and dozens of other highlights are recounted in Tennessee Titans: Celebrating the First Ten Years, a commemoration of the team's first decade by Nashville's own, The Tennessean newspaper.  Filled with exciting highlights and lavishly illustrated with beautiful stop-action color photographs, this is a book all Titans fans will cherish for years to come.

The book also profiles many of the greatest players over the past ten years, including Steve McNair, Eddie George, Frank Wycheck, Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Bruce Matthews, and Jevon Kearse, in addition to Coach Jeff Fisher and owner Bud Adams.  Features on the next generation of Titans, including quarterback Vince Young, defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, and defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth highlight the team's bright future.

Tennessee Titans: Celebrating the First Ten Years also pays tribute to the great fans of the Titans, who have added the pageantry and tradition at LP Field, which has sold out every single game since the team moved to Nashville.  The team now has the second largest waiting list for season tickets (over 30,000) in the NFL, behind only Green Bay.

The great games, the great players, the great rivalries; Tennessee Titans: Celebrating the First Ten Years has it all, and it's a book no fan will want to be without.
