Author Biography

David Lee Morgan, Jr. is an award-winning sportswriter for the Akron Beacon Journal. He is the author of three other books, including LeBron James: The Rise of a Star. Jim Tressel has been the head football coach at Ohio State University since 2001. His 2002 squad won a national title and achieved a 14–0 season.

David Lee Morgan Jr. is an award-winning sportswriter for the Akron Beacon Journal, where he's been employed since 1995. Morgan has covered the Cleveland Cavaliers and University of Akron athletics as a beat writer for the Beacon Journal and was the beat writer for the Akron Aeros, the Cleveland Indians' Double-A affiliate, from 1997 to 2003. He also was part of the Beacon Journal's coverage during the Indians' 1997 playoff run and World Series appearance against eventual champion Florida Marlins and the author of three other books including LeBron James: The Rise of a Star.
