About the Authors:
Rick Dempsey, a catcher and the World Series MVP for Baltimore in 1983, played 12 of his 24 major league seasons for the Orioles. Dempsey currently co-hosts with Jim Hunter on the Orioles' pregame and postgame shows.
Dave Ginsburg, a veteran Baltimore sports writer, covers the Orioles and other area pro and college sports for the Associated Press.
