Author Biography

Nicholas J. Cotsonika covers the Red Wings for the Detroit Free Press. Born and raised in the Detroit area, he attended the University of Michigan. His work has won numerous awards and appeared in publications from the Hockey News to The Washington Post. He has covered sporting events from Sydney to Salt Lake City to Stockholm. He served as the main author for Century of Champions, which celebrated 100 years of Michigan sports memories, and co-edited We're No. 1, a chronicle of the Wolverines' 1997 national football championship. He lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his wife, Alison.
