Author Biography
John Heisler joined the University of Notre Dame sports information staff in 1978, was named sports information director in 1988, and currently serves as senior associate athletics director for media and broadcast relations. He is the author or editor of several books on Notre Dame, including 100 Things Notre Dame Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die, Greatest Moments in Notre Dame Football History, and University of Notre Dame Football Vault. He lives in Granger, Indiana. Tim Prister has been writing about the Fighting Irish since 1980. He served as editor of Blue & Gold Illustrated for 20 seasons before being named senior writer for the publication, and he has since joined IrishIllustrated.com as well. He is the author of The New Gold Standard: Charlie Weis and Notre Dame’s Rise to Glory and What It Means to Be Fighting Irish. He lives in South Bend, Indiana.

About the Authors:
John Heisler is in his 35th year as a member of the University of Notre Dame athletics staff. He was named to his current post of senior associate athletics director for media and broadcast relations in 2004 after spending 16 years as sports information director. A 1976 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Heisler has written or edited eight other books on Notre Dame football-including collaborating with Lou Holtz on the New York Times bestseller The Fighting Spirit. He's a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Hall of Fame.
Tim Prister is a 1982 University of Notre Dame graduate who has been writing about Fighting Irish athletics since 1980. Prister served as editor of Blue & Gold Illustrated for 20 years and is currently the senior editor of IrishIllustrated.com.
