If a picture says a thousand words, Vernon and Jim Biever have had more to say about Packers football than anyone. Together, the father and son photographers covered the team for more than eight decades, spending most of those years as the Packers official team photographers.
In 100 Years in Titletown: Celebrating a Century of Green Bay Packers Football (Triumph Books, Oct 1, 2019), Jim Biever curates the most engaging and exciting selections from generations of Packers football. The resulting collection covers the entire spectrum of Packers history. Highlights include:
- A reverential foreword from Packers icon Brett Favre describing how Vernon’s photographs demonstrate Packer pride passed from generation to generation
- A nostalgic look back at the early years, capturing the green and gold in black and white
- Superbowl snapshots: images from the biggest moments on the sport’s biggest stage
- A photographic retrospective of the great quarterbacks who led the Packers and defined their eras
- Honoring Lambeau field and the frozen tundra that separate Green Bay from other NFL cities
