Author Biography
Jenna Hays McEachern has been a freelance writer and editor for 30 years. She formerly worked for the University of Texas Sports Information Department, served as an editor in the oral history department of the LBJ Library, and was a senior editor for the presidential election study series Snapshots of the 1988 Presidential Campaign. She is the editor of One Heartbeat: A Philosophy of Teamwork, Life, and Leadership and One Heartbeat II: The Road to the National Championship. She lives in Austin, Texas.

Jenna Hays McEachern has been a freelance editor and writer for 30 years. She edited One Heartbeat and One Heartbeat II, both written by Mack Brown and Bill Little. Little and McEachern collaborated on What It Means to be a Longhorn, a collection of oral histories of some of Texas' greatest players. In 2012, UT Press published DKR The Royal Scrapbook, written by McEachern with Edith Royal. The book about Texas' iconic coach was released just two months before his death. McEachern is married to former Longhorn quarterback Randy McEachern and they are still living in Austin. They have three children: Bailey and Hays McEachern and Lester Simmons.
