Author Biography

Marv Levy is a former coach for the Buffalo Bills who brought the team to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances, four AFC championships, and six AFC East titles. He is ranked as the 13th all-time winningest coach in NFL history with 143 career victories and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Jeff Miller is a member of the Professional Football Researchers Association (PFRA) and the 2004 winner of the PFRA's Ralph E. Hay Award. He is the author of The Icemen Cameth: The History of the Natural Ice Industry at Lime Lake, New York, 1880-1925; Buffalo's Forgotten Champions: The Story of Buffalo's First Professional Football Team and the Lost 1921 Title; and Rockin' the Rockpile: The Buffalo Bills of the American Football League. He lives in Springville, New York.

About the authors:

Marv Levy's storied Buffalo Bills coaching career began on November 3, 1986. During the next 12 seasons, Levy directed the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances, four AFC championships, and six AFC East titles. The Bills were the winningest AFC team in the 1990s, and Levy remains ranked as the 13th all-time winningest coach in NFL history with 143 career victories. The Pro Football Hall of Fame coach holds degrees from Coe College and Harvard University, is a veteran of the Army Air Corps, and is a native Chicagoan.

 

Jeff Miller is a member of the Professional Football Researchers Association and the 2004 winner of the PFRA's Ralph E. Hay Award for "career achievement in pro football research and historiography." His previous books include Rockin' the Rockpile: The Buffalo Bills of the American Football League; Buffalo's Forgotten Champions: The Story of Buffalo's First Professional Football Team and the Lost 1921 Title; and The Icemen Cameth: The History of the Natural Ice Industry at Lime Lake, New York, 1880-1925. Miller lives in Springville, New York, with his wife, Cathaline, and their son, Benjamin.
