Author Biography

James Buckley Jr. has written more than 25 books on sports, including Perfect: The Story of Baseball's 16 Perfect Games (also published by Triumph Books). He formerly worked at both Sports Illustrated and NFL Publishing, hosted a sports interview radio show in Santa Barbara, and today is the president and editorial director of the Shoreline Publishing Group. He is also the publications director for the 2003 national-champion semipro baseball team. He is a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan who lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife Patty, son Conor, and daughter Katie.Phil Pepe is the author of 39 books on sports, including the Few and Chosen series published by Triumph Books as well as collaborations with Yankee legends Mickey Mantle, Billy Martin and Whitey Ford. Pepe was the Yankees beat writer for the New York Daily News from 1968-1981 and is former president of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
