WGN-TV FEATURES NEW CUBS, WHITE SOX BOOKS IN TV SPECIALS ON APRIL 4
The rivalry between White Sox fans and Cubs fans rarely leaves North Siders and South Siders much to agree on when it comes to baseball. However, WGN-TV has managed to bridge the gap between these two camps with two hour-long specials based on the new books WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CUB and WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A WHITE SOX. WGN Sports executive producer Bob Vorwald wrote both books, which are in stores now. WGN-TV will air the specials back-to-back on April 4, the Sunday night prior to Opening Day. Vorwald's bipartisan approach to baseball in Chicago has also spawned a new blog that will appeal to baseball fans throughout Chicago. Vorwald's Chicago Baseball Stories blog shares Cubs and White Sox anecdotes for baseball fans of either team. There is no truth to the rumor that Vorwald is being considered a front-runner for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts. However, you can learn more about WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CUB with foreword by Ernie Banks and WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A WHITE SOX with foreword by Ozzie Guillen on their respective pages at triumphbooks.com.
