From Baltimore to Broadway is the first book that tells the complete story of Super Bowl III from the recollections of the Colts as well as the Jets. It was a moment in time when the sport’s past, present, and future met in historical intersection. To the men who made it happen, who played a role in its final outcome, Super Bowl III is more than just the game that changed pro football. It’s an event that changed their lives and continues to impact them to this day.
From Baltimore to Broadway is a Daily Pick from Jim Agnew.

From Baltimore to Broadway:
Joe, the Jets, and the Super Bowl III Guarantee
By Ed Gruver / Foreword by Don Maynard

The Stunning victory of the upstart New York Jets over the stalwart Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III, and the surrounding hoopla transformed the NFL and established the Super Bowl as America's premier sporting event.

From Baltimore to Broadway: Joe, the Jets, and the Super Bowl III Guarantee by Ed Gruver, is the first book that tells the complete story of Super Bowl III from the recollections of the Colts as well as the Jets. Johnny Unitas vs. "Broadway" Joe Namath turned Super Bowl III into a classic matchup that still defines the football careers of the men who took the field on the Orange Bowl that fateful day.

While Super Bowl III may be known most famously for Broadway Joe's guarantee, From Baltimore to Broadway explores a variety of overlooked storylines, including:

• Matt Snell's then Super Bowl rushing record for the Jets
• The opportunistic Jets defense which forced five turnovers from the potent Colts offense
• League MVP Earl Morrall turning over QB duties to injured legend Johnny U in the third quarter
• The memorable battle between Johnny U and Broadway Joe - the old master and the young rebel - on one of the biggest stages in league history

In From Baltimore to Broadway NFL fans will learn the inside story on the game that Hall of Fame sportscaster Curt Gowdy called the most important in pro football history, and for the first time get perspectives from players on both ends of the epic battle.
